Rotofab is good, but they will all more or less will net you the same HP. Best bang for your buck is long tube headers though.

No way, there has never been any proof that it out performs other intakes. I have Roto-fab and have no complaints.

Roto Fab, Kooks, & a Norris Motorsports tune on my car got me 422/420 on a dynojet.

That intake was the HP champion in GMHTP's testing....

The one I had on the GTO was flawless fitment and it looks great!

If you go to camaro5.com they performed a test on a bunch of the CAI. CAI was the best. I like the IAT staying the same as stock. So many of them show an increase in IAT.

well i put on my Halltech cold air kit and have to say i am highly disappointed, it is probably the cheapest and least quality driven engineered CAI ive ever owned, back when i was a kid and made mine out of 4" pvc pipe from lowes was better quality than this CAI.

its a flimsy plastic box design with one plastic mounting tab where the old air box was so it just rests on some lines and such, they just use a silicone coupler for TB to Intake tube when the intake tube is a larger size, so there for it crinkles the silicone coupler. Why not use a reducer style coupler? i mean hell i think i paid 9$ for the one on my turbo car...

The mass air sensor holes were off in the intake tube so it had to be trimmed and still was a binding fit.

and i know its petty but come one they cant even send all the same hose clamps for the plumbing???

No directions which i know its a simple CAI but its the fact of the matter.

Very disappointed and was kinda surprised that the company i bought it from recommended it because i know i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

I would like to see all the dyno numbers on a stock Camaro. Ive had mine for a few days, want to go a cai, you can pick a k&n polished kit off ebay for 249 bucks. Can someone explain why a rotofab is worth 450+ for their polished version?????? They all seem to make 18-19 rwhp.
Also does anyone have the dyno numbers for a filter only?

Here is a chart of the testing performed on a number of CAI's.

Really? So dyno numbers are not proof?

Yeah, we all know that dyno numbers are the end all, be all :eyes:
I find it interesting how Ted has done two separate tests and the numbers didn't exactly jive between the two. I'm in no way criticizing Ted for his efforts, but if a person relies solely on the "highest" number then they are setting themselves up for disappointment. Ted's first test claimed the CAI system was the best and now all of the sudden with his second test, the Halltech is the best. There sure have been a lot of people dumping their CAI systems for the Halltech lately.

Killer deal on our OTR intakes for our Black Friday - Cyber Monday sale if you're still looking, www.neweraperformanceparts.com. Our kit is the only kit that sees ambient Intake Air Temps without further modification, and also was tested to have the coolest Engine Coolant Temps by tilting the radiator back, and I guarrantee you will feel a difference.

cold air inductions IMO is the sweetest looking intake out there, plus its great quality and scores pretty high on all the testing i've seen
