Default 98 blazer

looking to swap a ls1 into a 98 blazer 4x4 got a few questions can i use the trans that in there with a different torque converter and i know that i have to get a corvett motor due to the pully system and i have to use a ls2 oil pan. as far as the wiring goes i have to mix the harness from the stock 4.3 motor and the ls1 right ?

As far as the harness goes you can get a plug and play wiring harness from current performance wiring. If you want to keep your 4 wheel drive there is talk of a pan but it isn't the stock LS2 oil pan. Yeah the vette accessories work better but you can make the truck accessories work. The trans bolts up but can't handle a LS1 there are a few people that have done it and some last a little while but they are all back in there putting a trans in shortly after the swap.

Where to begin....

Custom:

Mounts
Headers
Front/rear driveshafts
radiator
harness
hoses
Oil pan
remote filter

Other than that, it's easy.
