Default convertable motor?!

I dont know if i should ask this here but it seems the right place..anyway me n my friend picked up a 1996 LT1 convertible camaro...the convertible motor gives a sound when i press the button but it seems like it has no oil in it may be...any idea how to lubricate it or something?! include pics if u can plz i would appreciate it.

Top pump has a plug in the top to fill. Uses mineral oil available at a drug store. You may get better advice in the convertible section.
