As you know, that's what I'm running on my LM7 with sequential fuel and COP.

Is your problem that the needed MS3X board isn't available retail just yet?

pretty much. I love MS and have recieved a great deal of support from other ms users. I also find ms users to be typically more mature than most.

but, I can sell the msd and my ms3 and have the other efi system more than half paid for. the other thing is I dont know when the ms3x will be available, and more importantly, how much it will sell for.

For what I understand, under $100 and some should be available within a few weeks.

Likely worth contacting the main vendor and putting yourself on the pre-order or pre-notify list.

You don't need that MSD box to run the standard ignition coils on the LS motor with the MS3+MS3X combination.

thats subjective.

but, here are some ms3 benefits.
you can adjust the dwell
the way you adjust ignition timing is a lot more intuitive

advantage of the msd6010 are

plug and play
uses more robust connectors

yeah. I did that too, but its a lot more convenient to log with a card and leave the laptop out of the race car.

usb port is just for ease of connection.

another feature ms3 has that was not available on 2( unless you were running msextra) is the 16x16 fuel table vs the 12x12 , and closed loop iac control so in theory it will maintain your desired idle rpm
