Default Anyone running the LE 226/230 .565/.565 111 LSA cam?

I can get this cam brand new for $220 Just wondering If anyone has had good results with it? I just installed some LE1 heads and This cam seems like it would be a decent bump in power over the hotcam I have now. What Knd of power are you making and what track times are you guys running with this cam?

I ran pretty much that same camshaft only it was a AI grind. Mine was on a 109LSA.

That would be an excellent cam to run with your LE1's. For $220 new I would snag it no questions asked. I would venture that it will make about 15+rwhp over the hotcam with those heads, just a guess but I think it's an accurate assumption.

last year I was running a LE 224/230 grind same lift on a 112lsa and My numbers are in my sig. My valves were set to loose at the time too soo. With that cam you should deffinitley see a good increase over your hotcam.

Ok so 15rwhp over the hotcam. Ive read that 1.7 rocker are good for around 15rwhp as well. Swapping rockers would be alot easier and cheaper than a cam swap for the same gain.

I don't see you picking up 15rwhp with a set of 1.7RR's over a set of 1.6RR's.

A 15rwhp gain over the hotcam was a pure guess, talk to Lloyd he will give you a more accurate guesstimate but you might as well take advantage of those good heads with a good cam that was probaly designed with those in mind. You can bandaid the hot cam with 1.7RR's so it has a little more lift but you still don't have the duration, more aggressive lobe design, more modern technology just to name a few things, IMO of course.

Me either, personally with a good tune I see you gaining over 15rwhp if you have the supporting mods. Do you have any idea what your car is putting down with the current setup?

The car made 318rwhp through a locked a4 and ran 14.0 @ 98mph I then added a ls1 lid setup and ran 13.8 @ 100 mph. I took it to the track after the head swap and only ran a 13.6 @ 101 mph. remember I'm in colorado so the da is killing my power 7300 da.

I guess I could have contributed a bit more info then my first post. Like others have stated, it would be a nice step up from your HC. A nice set of Rockers would add some additional HP as well. Mine was a really nice strong pulling driver. Sounded mean as hell too!

I forgot to mention that was through an open DMH cut out. I'm not certain, but I believe it was roughly 370-374 with it closed.

The tune is not going to be drastically different than what you have Pyro. Just use it as a base to start from and make the changes the different cam likes.
