Default How to Rebuild a 12 bolt

Anyone have any links or information to step by step rebuild guide for a GM 12 bolt in a first gen?

For the most part, the same as a 10 bolt...just bigger.

Hot Rod Magazine had an article on how to rebuild a 12 bolt. Perform a search on their web site and it should help out.

Buy in extra pinion bearing and hone it out so it slids on and off. You can set your pinion shim with that and get the solid crush sleeve. Haynes manual is a good referance.

They are Yukon Instructions which I helped write, hence the name Jeff Wilson on the cover. I do not car for the Yukon Line but the info is top notch and on the money. Glad to help.
