Default LT1 Oil Leak

A friend of mine is leaking oil from behind the water pump on his LT1. Any ideas as to what needs to be replaced to stop the leak. The water pump was replaced by an auto shop.

Water pump shaft seal is most likely the cause. I am wondering if the shop messed the seal up. That seal is a pain to get started on the shaft, and people use sockets and ends of sharpie markers to get it on there correctly.

What sucks is that your going to have to pull the water pump to get at it after a shop just installed it. This is why doing your own work is so important.
