Default Chrome Hood Scoop Grille?

I've got a 2002 Camaro SS 35th anniversary limited edition. pic of car I was thinking about getting the chrome hood scoop grille from Afterthoughts Auto. Should I go with the chrome or stick with the stock black grille?

My personal opinion would be to stick with stock black grill. I only like chrome if its gonna be on the wheels like chrome SS wheels or Chrome Zo6 wheels. Just my .02.

I really liked the looks of the chrome scoop on a SS I once owned, I'm having problems posting pictures so I'll e-mail you a picture showing what it looks like on a red SS ( it's not the best picture but you'll get the idea ).

Al

You don't show an e-mail address so I guess I can't send you a picture.

I think it compliments my car very nice. I went for the whole clean front end look.

I did it.. really brings out the lines of the scoop, in my opinion.

the problem with the afterthoughts auto grilles (and they even warn you on the website) is that they are prone it chipping and peeling from driving. i heard someone removing the grille itself and attaching some mesh from home depot from behind and taping it. look really sweet. im considering doing that.

Does anyone know who makes the chrome grill for the Ultra Z hood. Saw an ad on it awhile back, but hadn't seen the ad since. Emailed afterthought & they don't make them yet? Was wondering what one would look like w/it.

It's different than metal but mine still looks great. I just touch it up with chrome paint. You can't see it from 3' away. Get the chrome grilles! They're awesome.
