I have a extra set of BMR sub-frame connectors laying around. Will they work on my vert?

Weld, do not just bolt-on -- much better result welded. (but supervise the shop to load suspension for welding)

NO get these instead with the bolt hardware (if you REALLY don't want to weld):
http://www.umiperformance.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_113&products_id=194

Then if/when you weld, you will have more weld points. UMI will do these in Chrome Molly too, if you ask (I have them), they just don't advertise them YET.

I've got the Don Goetz bolt ins - have been on the car for several years now and have not loosened up at all. They are made with square tubing. Don't remember price.

Have you noticed a big difference in cowl shake and rigidity and flex after having these installed?

Just got the connectors instaled 2 days ago. Along with LCA's and a Panhard bar. Really eliminated a lot of the "convertible shimmy". The slp bars are quite heavy (10-15lbs each) and attach at three points plus at the LCA's. The guy who installed them said most of the ones he'd seen only had 2 attachment points. It was a very worthwhile addition IMHO. Only had the car 2 months and after I bought it, took it to my front end shop to find out about the shimmy. The mechanic checked everything including alignment and said everything was in great shape. Going to replace the shocks next. Still originals on the car 54k. Running stock motor but with 3.73's and 2800 converter. Beat a G8 GXP last weekend.

I have some cowl shake noticeable on my iPhone mounted on a Pro Clip with vertical extension (it is not noticeable without the extension). Apart from that before and after the SFCs I never really had a cowl shake issue (Pro Clip was installed months after SFCs).

I DID notice a big improvement in rigidity and less flex, better hooking and cornering -- I like the way it feels now with welded SFCs MUCH more! Just wish there was a 3-point 'vert option...

SLP has a set for verts, or at least the used to. Mine came in a SLP box with SLP instructions and SLP small parts box. And they fit! Verts need frame connectors at least as much as the t top cars do. I got mine from a guy who bought a 2002 ss vert and they came with the car. He didn't want to put them on. Got them for $150.

I have a set of BMR subframe connecters still in the box for the car in my sig. It's a vert. The car is gone. I never got around to installing them. I want to get rid of them. I also have the SLP grill for the 35th limited edition model. Red with silver stripes. It needs to go also.

So I guess Kenny Brown's Double Diamond SFC are forever gone since all he does are Mustangs now a days; sad cuz I heard they were the best. Does anyone make a 3pt SFC for us?
