General Maintenance & Repairs - Glove box keeps falling open...What now?

Okay so here in NYC, we have the most AMAZING ROADS...As I was driving down one of our fine streets, I came across a MASSIVE hole, so I went to avoid it and hit another lesser hole. Glove box flew open and it bottomed pretty bad, I closed it and kept going.

Now every couple of minutes it falls open...Any ideas on what to do? Ive only found how to adjust the handle to open it. I want it to stay closed.

Check to make sure that the bracket screws are tight mine did the same thing and it turned out that there were two screws that came loose.

Yeah they were all tight, I took apart the assembly then tried putting it back together and screwed up the spring part cause I didn't pay attention how it was originally on....

buy a new lock and re install

you ever fix it? mine does similar stuff, on hard bumps especially when its cold
