LS4 Performance - Painted my front bank coils and valve cover!!

Ok so I just got done painting my front coils and valve cover I'll be doing the back tomorrow. Here's some pictures. I used the burnt orange that comes on the newer maxima's. The far right coil was still soft so when i put the wire back on it pushed the paint up.I'll sand it when it dries and touch it up.

Looks friggin' pissah!!! The VC came out really good!... Nice touch.

I want to do my VC's but in gloss silver or chrome. I wish I could find a set that were chrome plated aluminum already done.

Thanks guys! It wasn't too bad doing it either.I used brake kleen to get the oil and dirt off then dry sanded it with 600 grit and then wet sanded it with 600 grit.

The headers look nice too. :)

Oh, you also have a connetor disconnected in the last photo behind the TB. I hoped you plugged it back in. Just admiring the work and noticed that.

Not a fan of chrome (or chrome-like) which is why I painted my rims and took off my vent covers. ;)

I'm considering doing mine Red to match the exterior color of my car.

Looks like shit. Nah just kiddin looks real good. My buddy did the coils and vc's on the 5.3 in his mustang and they look real nice.

OK Showing my :confused: here...but I am :swing: on those VC, to remove them...is there a write up?...I think I get the main deal but tell me if I am missing something...(Dumb question) do you have to drain some or all oil?...then you just clear the way and remove the 4 bolts from the cover and remove...and I assume replace the gasket while you have it off??? Sorry to be so uninformed...I am learning.

No oil draining just remove the bolts and rubber washers and clean them and if you want to paint them just use a scotch brite clean again and paint them what ever color you want.

mel those stb bars look good!

OK also one more dumb question...Do I need to use High temp paint?

Just engine paint they make every color you could want
