Default Went to the track

I went to the track last night, its only an 1/8 mile track but anyways got my new best with the LT slow.

2.06 60'
8.77 et
81 mph

Still no tune. So what do you think for street tires and simple bolt on's.

A buddy of mine has LTs, CAI, 3" Exhaust and only runs.

2.11
8.99
77mph

His 1/4 was just 13.95, so you're probably mid 13's compared to him.

All i have is full exhaust, CAI, 160 stat, with very little weight reduction.

I think my buds car is just wore out. It has 130k on the clock and holds crappy oil pressure.

A tune would be helpful but the free mods really don't do a whole lot IMO. Which reminds me, he's got my AC delete and underdrive pulley along with a descreened MAF and TB bypass. So yeah I don't think the freemods help too much or his car is just junk.

Go get you a cam, converter and a tune, you will be in the 12s then.

Hard to say without knowing the DA. I think your 1/8th is about a 13.6-7 in the 1/4 which is a little slow for the mods if were talking a reasonable DA. Again without knowing the DA it's hard to say whether your on par or not.

1/4 Mile ET: 13.690
1/4 Mile MPH: 102.520
1/8 Mile ET: 8.883
1/8 Mile MPH: 80.770
0-60 Foot ET: 2.131

That was my best pass - just a CAI, muffler back, and a short-throw. Got a touch left in the 60' for myself.

friend of mine has a 96ta with ebay headers, no cats, flowmaster catback, underdrive pulleys, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 255pump, 4:10gear,cai, air foil, et-streets, and tune from solomon.

his best time so far is 8.37, he could run faster but the track isnt holding. its a local yocal track on test and tune night and they dont prep the track at all on those nights.

DA 2361 feet. And it had been raining most of the day and toward the high rpms it was pulling timing. I believe because of the KM.

That is a high DA. Corrected to a 0 DA I would say your times are right on par for your mods. To give you an idea that is an estimated 13.3-4 or so in the 1/4 mile corrected.

Why was it pulling timing? You going lean with bolt ons?

No the KM was detecting false knock with the long tube swap.
