Default Another Mini ladder bar question

I seen the 8.8 build that was well detailed and I had a few questions. I plan on building an 8.5 10 bolt and was thinking about setting up a mini ladder bar. I hear different opinions on this setup and was curious. I have broke 3 10 bolts and bc of money issues I really can't afford an aftermarket rear if I can help it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

if you have blown up three 10 bolts already, why the **** would you build another one and then put, what im assuming, would be a better hooking suspension ontop of it and think itll work??

your gonna get ripped on hardcore for building a 10 bolt again... and again, and again, and then AGAIN! how much money you going to drop into a 10 bolt before just going with some kind of aftermarket rear. used S60/12 bolts are cheap, **** used 9" are cheap

do yourself a favor, buy a new rearend, then get back to building a suspension with it

I was referring to the stock rear for a 1998 camaro. The 7.625 rear 10 bolt. Thats the one I broke and the only reason I put another in is because I got them for free. I think the bigger 10 bolt will prob be strong enough if I build it slightly, since I have one free in good shape already.

i put close to 2 grand into my stock 10 bolt and it lasted prolly 20 passes before it took a ****. 10 bolts are just weak, with any kind of power on any kind of stickier radial/slick out there its going to last less times than you can count on 2 hands...

Even the bigger ones? I was led to believe the older ones are much stronger than a regular 10 bolt and pretty much as strong as a 12, if you put bigger axles in them.

Yea and I got a 402 ls2 in it. I just wanted to know if a mini ladder bar setup will destroy my handling or if it will hook at all? I have no experience with differing suspension at all. Also will the 10 bolt hold? If its slightly built? The 8.5 one.

A 12 bolt is 8.875 so the 8.5 10 bolts are leaps and bounds better than the 7.5's. That being said there are still more options as stated.
