General LSX Automobile Discussion - Factory 425hp SS camaro ???

I called the guy about it and he said it was like that when he purchased it. I have seen where it has been wrecked twice in the front end so I am almost positive someone has just painted that on there when it was fixed, but where did they get the emblem on the inside by the a/c vents?


Do these cars even exist?
If so, is it shipped to slp or something to be upgraded?

I never heard of that 1 before, but perhaps you should have posted this in the 'special edition' section of LS1Tech. That crowd would definitely have some answers for you.

I just got done looking at the car, was able to bring it up. The dash plaque with 425 hp you can order that & same goes for the hood label. That stuff is not factory. I see nothing under hood or in the description like headers, cam, heads that would indicate stuff has been done to have 425 hp. Looks like a stock engine to me & slightly ghetto with them taillights & side skirts.

Was it a Berger Car ?

There is no way that car had 425hp. Not unless the original owner had tons of N20 or completely demodded the car. It still has a LS1 intake with EGR..

Didnt slp make a few 350 and 400hp camaros? I thought they made a 425 and 450 kit also.

Yes they made several kits however those are all after market kits. They did not make 425HP "Factory" SS's.

The hood to front bumper is so misaligned its not even funny lol.

And you gotta love the newer style TBSS, Cobalt SS style SS emblem on the rear.

No way its got 425HP, he just bought that emblem somewhere to make him feel better about owned a totaled car.
