Expensive as hell, but pretty cool to have the experience and see/help build your car and motor.

how bad *** is that?!!!!
I like but, for sure, would want to throw my Own heads cam options.
Just spoke to a Rep at a stealership. They told me GM is working on "GM Approved" performance parts LIST for the new LSX based engines all while still keeping the FULL warranty.
One of those options was a full exhaust Longtubes all the way back. (if not already available)
the rep said GM realizes the customers want more power out of their cars and is trying to put a program together. At a cost.
a step in the right direction.

They are so deperate they not only want you to pay 120k for a car, but they want you to come build it for them as well. As if that isn't sad enough they want you to pay them to be the slave labor.
No wonder this company is so screwed.

I want to feel like I did something. But I don't really care because I'd never buy another Corvette! I've stepped up to Lambos, Ferrari's, etc... as my hopeful next ride! I wouldn't want to touch one of those engines I'd manage to jack it up good!

I think it's pretty awesome if you have the money to burn. The idea of being involved in the process is pretty spiffy, IMO.
But of course the rational thing to do would be to do it yourself and save that chunk of change..unless, like someone mentioned before, you just wanted to get away..it could make for a pretty cool trip! I for one would love to see where they are made, and to be part of the event, well that's an added bunch of awesome! - Costs aside -
But...i'll shush and go back to the kitchen now.

Its just so people feel like they did something besides write a check and think their badass. I say good for them, I hate people who just write a check for a fast car and think they accomplished something. At least these few people can say they built their motor with their own hands.
