Default 224/230 cam anyone running it instead of a TSP 224r cam

I have a tsp224r 114 cam sitting at home, got someone who want to trade me for a 224/230 .581 cam.. 112 maybe 114

will I gain anything by going with a 224/230 vs 224/224 on a LS1 with 243 heads, LTs and a few bolt ons.. is it worth the hassle?

note cam is not installed yet it is at a shop, need to decide in a day or so

You will gain, but not much for the money spent a few hp is all. I had the LG motorsports g5x2 and x3 cam. both will make more power and pull way harder then what you have now. The x2 cam 232/236 (i think is the size)will work nice and drive well with a tune, worth the swap.

No it's not too much. Don't be afraid to put a lil more cam in it,with a tune I have had some big cams drive better then i thought. As good as the smaller ones. Try to match the best cam to the heads your running and don't be worried to hit the low 230 dur.

i run the 224/230 and love it. I am just full bolt on and cam and put down 400rwhp and 375tq with it. i could tell a huge difference when i put the cam in . I run an ORY and cutout so it is super loud and lopey sounds so mean at WOT. It drivability is just like stock too in an m6
