Default Taylor OTVC kit

the kit from thunder racing had all i needed along with some extras. got it done in an afternoon and it will hopefully not burn up like the last set of wires, plus, it looks good.

but if you asked me to do the boots for the opti again, i wouldnt.

i have it too, i wouldn't do it again either. i do like that they are over the top and it's easy to keep them away from the headers.

-Makes engine bay look too "busy."
-Makes valve covers impossible to keep clean.
-Wires split within a year and started to leak spark.
-Assembling the wires sucked ***.
-Passenger side oil fill cap is in the way - looks gawdy routing the wires around it.
-Looms only work with factory-height valve covers (longer bolts are a specialty bolt that needs to be ordered separately).
-Assembling (cutting and crimping) boot ends yourself results in more room for error. Wire and signal continuity is crucial.

End of my story.

I notice all the guys with Taylor wires seem to complain about the boots but I've never seen any complaints about MSD, not to mention mine slipped right together. One of the easiest mods I've ever done. Just an observation. Also seems like an awful lot of taylors have issues with arching/terminals popping off. No reason to yank out what you have and replace it if its working, but personally I feel Taylor wires are cheap for a reason. Many do run them and have excellent luck though.
