So i dropped the motor a couple of weeks ago, rebuilt the motor/tranny and now im reinstallin the motor. so i had this part laying around and i cant figure out where the hell it goes. it doesnt look too important. but if someone could tell me it would be great. i attached some pics. sorry for the crappy cell pics.

did you drop the swaybar? I remember something odd like that on the drivers side swaybar bushing, (but I am not 100% sure)

i did drop the swaybar but it remained on the kmember. i never took it off. but ur right, it looks exactly like a suspension part.

Looks like the bracket a piece of the A.I.R. system mounts on, the one that has the blue connector that mounts on the drivers rear of the intake maybe

i know about that piece. no this thing is much bigger than that. and i threw out that piece a while back. could it have anything to do with the motor mounts?

looks lke the thing for the sway bar on the driver side. Im pretty sure i took that off when i removed mine

that's exactly what it is.

Yup it's part of the sway bar. I was changing the oil in my Z28 and was looking around and saw it.
