help asap new motor not getting oil PICS!!!
pics added
Hey how long does it take for a new motor to start pumping oil? New EVERYTHING and build on stand so i know the NEW oil pump is installed perfect with oring. Ive cranked it a good ammount and no oil??? i do have the coils un pluged so im not letting it fire...
i have the oil line off the turbo and into a bottle to see when i get oil but just a little mist comes out??? but no oil
i had to bend the pick up tube a little but now im worried that the bottom of the pan made contact with the pick up tube.
-edit-
this is with the pick up tube touching the bottom of the pan...wont know for sure till the new pick up gets here...but pree damn sure this is the no oil problem
BTW took me just under 3 hours on my own to drop the pan removing motor mount bolts, k member, steering shaft, bottom shock bolts, alternator, and supporting the front of the motor with a piece of 2x4 from the ground to the back side of the water pump...not too hard evin though i got a drop of oil in my frikken EYEBALL!!! lol

i would pull all the plugs to let it spin over with no resistance on the starter and more rpm to see if it picks up. If not that way then something else is going on. Is it a new block?

The barbell in the back right? Yes and the filter is still empty. I'm starting to think that if the pick up tube got smashed by the pan the way I think then air bubbles can maybe be the problem

kinda haed to explain but i put a oil drain bulk head fitting in a bad spot so i had to bend the tube....took me three times to make it fit under the pan. the first try the screen on the pick up tube caused the pan to sit over an inch too high! so i started bending it slowly till it fit.
now im starting to think its acting like a upside down cup in water and cant pick up oil...or theres some other problem

If I am understanding correctly what you did I would say your problem is that the pickup portion of the tube(screened side) is down against the bottom of your pan. You need at least 1/4 inch clearance under the pickup so the oil can get into the tube from the pumps vacuum. use some clay to see how much clearance you actually have.

Pull your fuel pump relay so your injectors aren't firing without spark. That's a good way to wash the rings on a fresh build.
I'd pull the pan and check your pick-up to pan clearance. You want about 3/8"-1/2" between them.

welp im lucky then cus the firs time i turned the key i found a bad injector o ring so i just pulled the fuse
my main concern was that the motor and turbo get primed with oil
how fast should i get oil pressure with just cranking???

If you had all oiled in the parts up top, Just in a few times on the motor tuning over 360 deg,s.

do what the texas-speed rep said. pull the fuse and crank the motor. after a few seconds you should have oil pressure. if you dont then there is something wrong. when i did my h/c swap it only took like 3 seconds for my oil pressure to jump back up. (i dropped the pan too so i had to refill the motor with oil, almost the same situation as a new motor.)
