You can change it at any point. It works on anything from a stock motor to a stroker. Typically worth 8 RWHP or so and shouldn't have any negative effect on your car.

if you plan a cam swap do it then, but it can be done anytime...just has to come off during a cam swap anyway

I noticed my car revs notably quicker from idle to the stall flash point, past that its less notable...

I picked up almost 2 tenths da corrected between the pulley and a tune (my tune wasn't very far off, just a hair rich)

I felt it rev quicker and with less effort, not a real "powerful" feeling tho. No downsides, a/c still blows cold, voltmeter is a tad lower but not too low. Only problem is having to take out the fans and being careful not to bang up the radiator with the puller.

As others have said you can do it whenever and there are no negative effects. If you are going the cam route, it is best to when you install the cam to save money on labor, if you are taking it to a shop. Saving time if you do it yourself.

Not to mention my city mpg went up 2mpg... LOL that alone made it worth it. Nothing like rubbing it everyones face that our cars can push 400hp to the wheels and still get 30 mpg.

I have an ASP underdrive that I'll sell. It was on the car for less than 2,000 miles. I'm swapping to an ATI. PM me if you're interested.
