New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - SES light/ O2 Simulators

I put an ORY on my car a few months ago. At the time I didn't have OBDII oxygen simulators. As expected, the SES light came on.
Now that I have the O2 sims on, the light is not turning off. Should it or do I need to have a trouble code deleted from my PCM? Thanks.

After awhile, the light should go out but it might not. Try resetting the PCM and see if that helps. Also, I had a sim go bad and it threw the SES for that. Make sure the sims are still good.

OK, I'll give it some time and see what happens. I'll reset the PCM if the light persists. BTW, I purchased the O2 sims used locally. I don't have any reson to believe they didn't work before I got them but one or both could be bad. Is there any way I might 'make sure' the sims are good?
