Default LS1 + cutout = awesomeness

First and foremost I'd like to thank Mighty Mouse and my buddy Mike for giving up some of their time and doing a great job on the install. I couldn't be happier.

I bought a DMH cutout to get some more noise as my Hooker muffler is pretty quiet, and at first I was afraid that it was going to sound shitty and be too loud to have open when just driving around town, but I could not be happier. It sounds mean and it's not so loud that it gets annoying.

My catback flows pretty well but I seem to notice a little more power. I'll have to wait and see how much I gain at the track with it open.

IMO if you're running a conventional y-pipe setup with a quiet muffler like a Hooker or Magnaflow, an e-cutout is a must-do mod.

I couldn't agree more, I love the way a cutout sounds. My QTP crapped out after 6 months and I left it open. Sounds good on the outside but driving it on a daily basis I eventually grew tired of the drone. Switched to a LM1 and am very satisfied, still sounds mean as hell.

My car with stock manifolds and no cam sound pretty good. Once I put the cam in and the headers on, it got rid of the rasp and I have had like 5 compliments this summer my exhaust. Little to they know its just a cutout. I love the way my sounds.

Yea, how useful -- applicable to 1/2 of 1% of driving time, IF THAT!

Ahhhh, music to my ears.

Based on the rest of your exhaust a cutout can sound really good. Not so good under heavy load but at WOT they sing.

My cutout was capped at the time, but have an electric one now. You never know when you could go through a long tunnel on a road trip.

One of the first mods I did.

As for that previous bridge comment by chaman...I do it every time.

Loved my Electric DMH. Some of the best $$$ I ever spent and it's ultimately what landed me my sexy little fiancee because as soon as I hit the switch her panties hit the floor.

I'm putting one in the WS6 during my cam swap here soon. Can't wait to have that sound back!
