after any kind of driving while my car is still moving not in gear. 60-40-20 mph the rpms sit at 1200 to 1k. It just all of a sudden started dropping that low

are you trying to say if you put in in neutral at high speeds ( im thinking its a M6) it goes to 1200 to 1k RPM???? if so yes it goes back to the resting RPM's

lock-up, non lockup? A4? M6? I had a related issue but the opposite. I have a non-lockup th350 and the RPM's used to drop almost instantly to idle (if I let off the throttle while cruising). Now after a new tune, they sort of hover when I let off the throttle (around 1,200 rpms or so). It sounded badass before, camshafting while doing 60mph
