I data logged my car while it was running cause it keeps dieing and desieling after it dies. when car is at idle it says -17to -20 if i rev it it shoots from -3 to -35. something tells me thats not right. if not what would cause it?

bad gas? might be optispark...

have you had it tuned? timing tables might be screwed up..

opti spark is less than 4 months old (dont mean anything tho). it programmed with hypertech but i took it off. i changed the icm and seems to be better.

Most of the scanners read timing in negative #s for some reason. If you actually had negative timing it wouldn't run.

Wrong timing is always a negative number as in before TDC. Some scanners just do not list it as negative because that is assumed.

i took a icm off of my cuzins wrecked truck and it was a 96 4.3. i beleive that was my problem cause it hasnt messed up since.
