Default Shifter rattle driving me nutts

I put a new shift **** on this weekend and just yesterday i noticeda rattling when i give it a little throttle under a load so i grabbed the shifter and it quit. I dont know if its the **** thats doing it or if its something internally on the transmission. If you have any suggestions on getting this fixed please let me know. In the mean time im going crazy because of this noise

I also have a "jingling" under my hood. I could have sworn it was my belt tensioner so i changed it this weekend and it got quiter but didnt go away. Idler pully maybe? Once again, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Put teflon around the threads and screw it back on. If you have an aftermarket shifter, you could splice a tennis ball and pushit down in the boot over the stick

On the shifter, check to see if the bolts to the handle are tight too. that can most likely cause a rattle.
