Here's a quick dyno sheet showing the baseline of a new L99 test engine next to the baseline from our LS3 test engine.

***This testing compares stock motors with headers, TSP Cold Air Inductions and no accessories***

Enjoy!! :) :)

That is going to confuse the shit out of people who didn't read the thread in its entirety.

Notice the difference in peak power between the two....GM advertises the L99 at 400hp and the LS3 at 426hp IIRC. Our tests showed right at 30hp difference as compared to GM's advertised 26hp. Of course the peak numbers are different because we had headers and cold-air on our test mules, but the baseline difference is still very clear! :)

The fact that the two curves are pretty close to one another up until 4500 RPMS shows VVT at work on the L99 since it has lower compression and a milder cam.

Muscle Car TV did the same LS3 dyno run on the E-Rod and they got 496 FWHP so you are right on with them. Dyno headers, etc.

I missed that one, but I'm not surprised to hear that! The engine dyno takes most all of the variables out of the equation!

Man I put a tune in a 2010 L99 today, and all I can say is WOW those cars are fun.

I have to laugh at the money I put into my C5 to get to 451 RWHP, and the Gen 4s are bolts ons and a tune away being a couple less RWHP than me.

I gotta sell my wife on getting one !

Probably because it is 430hp just as it is rated in the vette without the optional dual mode exhaust....that's my guess. Just like the ls1 was 350hp in the vette and rated at 310 in the standard z28 4th gen...same motor as always.
