hello my name is sam i resently bought a 2001 z28 m6 in cop catcher red. its completely stock with 47000 miles. i have an slp loudmouth and lid on the way already. but im getting a cam and a set of longtube headers over the winter for it. but i was woundering if i sould bite the bullet and get an upgraded rearend 4 it or hold off tell i finish my build? im only asking cuz i no a guy that has a 12bolt with moser axles and diff. that he"ll sell pretty cheap.

where in iowa you from?

im from perry its bout 30 mins north west of des moines.

welcome i'm from Iowa as well im an hour away from des moines .. for your question i have heard that the stock 10 bolts wont last very long in the m6 and they last awhile in the a4.. so if you could get that 12 bolt for cheap i say go for it...

im glad 2 no theres a few ppl from iowa on here. lol but i still need 2 hit the track wth this thing 2 get some number on it so i can compare stock 2 what i end up with.but do u guys no of any quarter mile tracks? i think ceder falls is but i cant remember.

cedar falls and tri state in Earlville are both 1/4 mile and speedway and eddyville are 1/8 mile..

Not sure where exactly you live in Iowa but if its close to Nebraska you could go to MAM in Omaha (1/8th mile) or KRP in Kearney (1/4 mile). They are also trying to get a 1/4 in Lincoln but I just dont see it happening within the next few years.

Yeah I am from Perry. What's your last name if you don't mind me asking? I now live in Ankeny but still get to Perry every so often to see my parents. You will have to come down to Des Moines and meet up with some of us. Now that I think about it, I did see a red Z28 heading towards DM at about 10:45 am on Saturday. I was in my TrailBlazer.

lol yea that was my dads shop he died 3 years ago. so we r renting it out. but yea i no ur dad or atleast know of him.
