Florida Members - C6 ZHZ vert RENTAL

As some of us know Hertz has the Vette yellow ZHZ verts. I got the opportunity to rent one for freeeeeee...Well, I need to travel for the next 2 weeks and I got an upgrade from a 10 Camaro. Since I'm traveling by my self I said sure I'll take it for that rate. As we know that car can get real expensive to rent but since I'm on Business and they are paying I couldn't resist...

I must say this C6 LS3 is very nice. I've been in many C5s and this is very refined car. I like this so much I may have to get one next year. My Wife wouldn't let me keep 3 cars so my LT1 will have to go. Besides I'll need that space in the garage.

I have an extra day with it so I would like to see her do a pass. Not sure yet...

Yeah it's pretty sweet but the wheels are nasty lol. I'm a part time VSA for Hertz and our's have been pretty ragged out. It's sad seeing some of these brand new cars torn up but it's badass driving just about everything available in today's market.

I don't beat on cars and this one is in nice shape for 17k.Spirit driving yeah, Smooth and nice power. I also like the paddle shifter, with the seamless 1-6 auto shifts, car almost feels faster than a m6. Honestly, I'd love that kind of trans behind my 408. One of the reasons the auto is out is due to lack of gears.

What I don't get is the attention people give this car! They stop and turn, yeah its a clean car but come on. I get a little less attention with my 30th TA.

Yea theyre nice and from what I hear those and the new rental 5.0 mustangs are reflashed for lower hp so some people dont get too carried away racing them around LOL

those things get killed...i know for a fact cause i worked at Hertz and personally beat on a few..hell even the Aveo's get killed..

First time I got to drive a c6, still haven't seen a new GT but we already got acouple of the v6 versions.

Detuned for the loss. But it is a LS3 so it is still bad ass

Just put 500 hwy miles today, though its missing the lowend grunt and the 1-2 shift has a delay. What did feel great was passing from 70-100. Nice smooth power. I didn't push it past 105, I didn't want to hit rev limiter. Besides, with a yellow vette I feel like such a target for cops.

I'll snap a couple shots with my TA when I get back.

I will say, I wish people would get a LIFE!!! I had a few cars just try to stay close to my bumper even when I did hit 100 a couple times.

What is the mph limiter set at???

I'm pretty sure the cars aren't "detuned", but we do only use 87 octane fuel in every car, which may cost a few horses.

I've read that the c6's are limited to 186mph on the stock tune lol.

I got it for the price of a Camaro since they didn't have it. Besides, I'm in my late 30s and I've been renting cars every month this year as I travel. I think the reg price is like 170 a day or something. I wouldn't pay that! Cool thing is girls here dig it and have no idea its a rental. Hmmm
