Default Cam Installation Complete - Smoke coming from Valve Breather Filter

Just finished my cam install last night Car is running great on stock tune! Getting it tuned this Sunday with PatrickG hopefully.

I had an issue after the install. I have the RevXtreme Catch can with the optional Valve Breather oil cap. Since the install, I am getting smoke/steam coming from the breather filter on the cam. Never had this happen before til the cam was installed. I am assuming this might be why my oil pressure can drop down to the low 30s sometimes.

I did some research a while back and I think I read somewhere how the optional valve filter actually isn't good for your car.

Any thoughts on the issue? Thanks in advance.

How much smoke would you say? After a rebuild, a little bit is normal.

I'm not sure how to quantify a 'little bit'...think less than a cigarette
sitting in an ashtray.

This should taper off and eventually stop once the rings break-in, and all
the assembly oils/lubricants make their way into the oil pan.

Change the oil and filter soon.

check the pcv valve, and make sure your pulling vacuum at the TB where the pcv connects
