Default T-56 Fresh Rebuild Hard To Get In Gear

HI guys I'm posting this for a buddy of mine he just rebuilt his t56 with a tick stage 2 kit, gm slave, pilot bearing, and ls7 clutch kit. We put it all back it in and the car drives fine no grinding or anything but when you put the car into gear, any gear for that matter it will act like it hits a wall then after a sec slips right into gear. It will do this from a stop into first and on into any gear from any speed. We have not replaced the master cylinder yet and was thinking it could be having trouble with the stiffer ls7 clutch seeing as its the original one from 01 with 90k miles on it. Anyone else have opinions?
Thanks Dan

Clutch isn't releasing fully.

Its most likely the master/slave combo. Get a tick master or any adjustable master. I have the tick, best mod yet.

just an update huys we installed a tick m/c and used the mity vac to bleed through the top of the m/c clutch pedal feels good and is right below the brake pedal on adjustment and it still does the same thing wen going into any gear. Push the clutch in and there almost like a small wall preventing the shifter from goin into any gear for a split second then its fine. any more ideas? revved the car up with the clutch in and car in first and it didnt move at all so it seems like its disengaging.called tick and they said it maybe just the tranny is tight after a rebuild but idk ive never seen one do this.

How many break in miles on the rebuild? What fluid are you running? Sound like you might just be feeling the notchiness of the billet keys and blockers breaking in? If you don't have 500 mi on it yet, just give it time and change out the fluid after break in with a good synthetic.

I e-mailed Tick to ask them what they thought about using synthetic Dexron III and they said: "We don't like synthetic fluid because it acts funny in the cold weather. You'll have much better luck with the cheap, regular old Dexron III."

Regular Dextron III is the best fluid to use on your average run of the mill street car.

::Redbird555::

I'm currently having the same issue..other then I used gear box transmission.org stage 2 kit (all else being the same).....I have no idea what fluid the shop put in my rebuild, but I was thinking master cylinder...now after finding/reading your post, has me thinking otherwise. I have 104K miles on the stock MC.

What did your buddy do to resolve this issue...????????????
