These hoods are awesome. They fit damn near perfect (as always...a little know-how with hinges and shims will make it look better than factory!) EVERY time. And the people there are real nice and the shop smells pretty good too!

I shall be calling to place my order today on a sunoco hood for my 01 z28. I just cant seem to find any pictures of the Sunoco "WIDE". Would you be able to post some pics here for me Jeanie. Thanks in advanced.

Probably tho because we had some requests for another at this time :D

The difference is:

Regular sunoco: the scoop is about 22" wide and the height is 3".

Wide - scoop is about 24" wide and the height is 4 1/2 at the tallest point in the center, then the scoop dips back down to about 3 1/2" at the back for better visibility.
When you have the wide on your car, you will actually get about 6" of clearance instead of the 4 1/2" - because of the slope of the fenders - and about 4 1/2 at the back where it dips down.

Unfortunately our pin on hoods are strictly this. There are no provisions for the rear hinges. To attach you can either go with the rail sets we offer, or use dzus fasteners - small screw type pins with backing plates - around the entire parimeter of the hood.

It would save you around 100#. Because not only are you removing the factory pieces, but also using lightweight hardware to attach as well.

This front end would cost $700.00.

wow A++++++ for VFN!!!! i got my ultra z hood to line up PERFECT in 15 minutes...couldnt even get an original SLP SS hood to line up this good let alone this fast!! im impressed... just painted it need to wet sand and buff still but waiting for the clear to fully cure. thanks guys for great quality and fitment youre worth every penny!

But we do offer a light weight (chrome molly) kit for $199.00.
Comes with the tubes, plates and dzus fasteners that you will need.
