10 Second Club - what would 10.99 be in the 1/8th?

im going a little different route with my car and pulled the trigger and went full track car and wondering what i would have to run in the 1.8th for it technically to be a 10 second run. On stock suspension cam only with 4.10s and et street radials i was running a best of 7.32 with an average of 7.4X in the 1.8th and was just curious as to what would be in the 10s. I think i might be able to come close, the car obviously runs really strong for what it is and im switching to 4.56 gears. full adjustable suspension with strange coil overs and a bunch of weight reduction.

X 1.57 seems to be a fairly accurate which would put you at 11.4 ish. I'm sure someone with more first hand experience will chime in.

I have been 7.00 in the 1/8 and 10.99 in the 1/4

okay so basically i need to hope better fuel system + better gear + waaaay better suspension = me losing .3-.5 eek lets hope hahah

Your 60' will matter more than anything of course.

They are correct. 95% of the time 6.9=10.0. Only time I would see this not happening is a car with EXTREMELY quick 60' that doesn't have a lot of HP mods (SI car or something of the sort).

You aren't too far off. I am sure there is plenty in your setup to tweak to get a few out of it. What is your 60'? What is full mod list?

What's the 60' and MPH?

If it's a 3.2 60' and 135MPH you might be in the 9s. If it's a 1.2 60' and 72 MPH then it would probably be a mid 12.

My car ran a 7.34@91 and it was a 11.6@117.

I was thinking that mph was awfully low... You are a SI car, aren't you?

im cam only nad used to run the 7.4X on a 1.6X 60ft so im hopeing to shave a bit of my 60ft with the new suspension and gear oh and i got an MSD 2 step too. also after this fuel system ill be able to actual utilize my cam. I come out of the whole around 5700 on a dump/side step and have to shift at 6 even because of injector load so ill actually get to use all of my cam/motor finally

This is about right.. I went 6.97@98mph in the 1/8 and went 10.90@123mph in the 1/4 with a 1.46 60ft.

I also ran 11.54 @ 125mph when my 1.8was 7.5x @ 98mph and 60' was 1.89...

Sounds like to me your car would have been in the 10s. Yours out mph me by alot....


my car is all down low for the most part and doesnt have the power to pull that mph like that up top. I'm workin on it though, trying to squeeze a 121-122mph trap out of it and something in the 10s before my heads go on that are laying out in the garage collecting dust.
