New member and my turn signals dont work!
I just bought my first GTO last Saturday. Its an 04, 25K miles, 05 hood and rear bumper, Magnaflow exhaust, 6 speed, aftermarket headlights, red with black interior, black factory rims. I paid $8200 for it off of ebay and it does have a salvage title, but I am working on it. Soon it will be rebuilt and a daily driver. I sold my 99 C5 to buy it. I have lots of car forum experience, on V8Rx7forum.com now Norotors.com. I know how to use a search button and my forum interaction skills will be acceptable.
Here is my problem and yes I already searched. I have read about all the problems the GTO's have and my passenger door lock works when it wants to. My problem is that I have perfectly functional turn signals when the car is off and the key is in the run position. When I start the car the turn signal fuse blows. I replace it and it blows again. It doesnt work for a few seconds just gone. I know that the turn signals share some wiring with neutral safety switch and back up lights, but have no other information.
The car was hit in the front but not hard enough to even deploy the air bags. I would guess that maybe the wires maybe smashed together someplace but I am unsure and would appreciate any and all suggestions before I get started or end up paying someone a ton of money to do a 1 minute fix.
Thank you for reading, and I love my new GTO, Dave.

Not much action here, but I found my answer on Ls1gto.com it appears to be the reverse switch on the side of the transmission. See I told you I know how to use the search button.
