Convertible Vehicles - 1998 Gold SS Convert Hurst

That is really an unusual car. I like it a lot. I can't give you specifics but that would be a nice one to own. Might be priced a tad high but with it's non-abused history it isn't too far out of line. The $18,000+ on the windshield is a joke. Maybe if it had 15,000 or 20,000 miles I could see it.

CompNine's database contains 5 '98 Sport Gold Metallic SS 'verts w/ M6. RPO BBS (Hurst shifter) was not an available factory option until '99 (at least not on Firebirds). SLP may have offered a Hurst shifter as an option, however this particular car does not appear to contain the Y2Y RPO that would indicate SLP 2nd-sticker options were installed.

Definately a rare car, not 1 of 1 (unless you count every single RPO, but then if you do that most cars are 1 of 1). Considering the non-factory paint on the hood, I'd say the Hurst shifter was added by the previous owner as well or a dealer/tuner deal that wasn't "sanctioned" by GM like the Hurst/LPE Firebirds. It is highly doubtful the shifter was "factory installed".
