Default boring out a 5.3?

Ok I know that the lm7 can be bored out to 99mm to create a low cost 5.7 but how do I know wat size pistons to buy wen it comes to that day I can have the machine shop that's boring out the block put the new pistons in right?

And would I have to change the 5.3 rods to if I bore it out?

Well that depends on what pistons you get. Try and order factory ls1 bores (3.898?) so you have lots of rebuilds left.

Also, 5.3 rods are the same as most ls engines. The 4.8 gets different rods, the ls7, and I think the ls9/lya.
