Crazy Backwards Question LS1 K-Member w LT1
Just wondering if this is possible and who sells the parts? I have a 1994 Formula and want to install a 98-02 LS1 K-Member loaded. Is it possible to retain my LT1 Engine?

ls1 kmember and lt1 kmember are different i dont think any one sells parts to make them work. i think the difference is in where the motor mounts are.
why would you want to use a ls1 kmember?

Mine is rusted pretty good and I wanted the LS1 Brakes. So I thought I would install the LS1 K-Member. Just don't have the funds to keep the LS1 in the cradle yet. I could get an LT1 k-member and just add on my parts or save and get the tubular. Just seeing if it has been done or is possible.

ah i guess it makes sence. i think they are identical except where the motor mounts bolt to.
so you could still run ls1 spindles on an lt1 k member. but im guessing you want to replace the lt1 with an ls1 later.

There are all kinds of people that make mounts to use on LS1 engines to bolt them into older vehicles that had SBCs, so I would think that one of those types of mounts could possibly work.
