Default LTFT & Possible Fuel Pump Issues

I have HP Tuners. I have been scanning and doing some slight editing to my T/A which has a SLP CAI, Lid, and LM 3" catback (it is an A4). The only thing that I am trying to do is sort out the LTFTs. It was lean, I added 6% to the maf table and pulled some timing where I was getting some kr after running a histogram. The results I get are inconsistent. Sometimes it is too rich and other times it is too lean. I cleaned the maf and the O2 voltage appears normal. It goes way lean and I get some kr at tip in especially in top gear at lower speeds and rpm. The other day I noticed a high pitched whining noise coming from the rear of the car when it was idling. Sounds to me like the fuel pump. It makes since that if the pump is about to die that I could be losing fuel pressure causing the lean condition at tip in. Has anyone heard of anything similar to this? Thanks for any help.
