Default Anyone have a ECT diagnostic procedure for a 98 LS1?

I need to check the wiring and sensor, but my choice to buy a used '99 Helms manual at a great price years ago bit me on this.

Thanks!

Technically, both When the car was under warranty, they calibrated the gauge to read 210* when the ECT was 210*. The next time I swapped the sensor it's been off ever since. But this inquiry is more about insuring the PCM is geting the correct temp. My ECT is sporadically bouncing up and down +/- 2-10* and I'm not getting any codes. Trying to find out why the reading is behaving like that. The motor was just switched from a LS1 to a LS3 and we kept the same ECT sensor.

The OEM ECT sensor is located on the front of the passenger side head, slightly above and to the left of the cylinder #1 exhaust IIRC.

You might try looking at the diagnostic charts/procedures at www.gearchatter.com.
