Need a new clutch, I want a STIFF SOB
Well, at only 3500 on my centerforce, the clutch didn't have enough holding power to get my car onto a drive-on lift the other day. So its time for a new one. The previous owner of the clutch ran it on the dyno with nitrous so I'm sure that had something to do with it.
So, like the title says, I want a clutch that has some serious pedal to it. I know its kind of hard with a hydraulic clutch, but personally I like the feel and effort of a cable clutch so I'd like to get one that takes some leg-work to use. I don't think I will need a twin disk, but the future holds approximately 600hp so it needs to handle that well.
Since this is the exact opposite that most guys ask for, I don't think the vendors will be too much help since they spend their time making clutches easier not harder. Anybody have a suggestion for me? I'm not too particular on brand as long as its reputable. I'm guessing I'm going to have to over-clutch for my power goal to get the feel I want.

why do you want something so stiff when you can get a single disk clutch to hold 900-1000 ft/lbs of torque and it is still relatively easy. I think they are advertising the new Monster twin disk to have a fairly easy pedal and they hold well over 1000 ft/lbs. Also do you still have the stock master cylinder?

I agree I hate light clutch pedals too. I get in some vehciles and I think damn I just put a hole in their floorboard cause I pushed the clutch pedal so hard. I may just be used to driving a Chevy 4500 port a potty truck that has a 6 speed and its a linkage style clutch, so it's STIFF. Right now my car has a spec 5 and tick master and it doesnt seem all that bad.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, most people I have talked to looked at me like I was nuts for wanting a tougher pedal. My roommates 350z pedal is so weak I literally can't feel it through my shoe, it drives me nuts.
I have a wilwood master cylinder, it looks like a stock one but its made of metal, I don't know how much that figures in. I have had a monster lvl 3 before and it wasn't particularly tough that I remember, so it looks like the spec 3 and the one Billy suggested are the good options right now.

Our 12" Monsters are designed NOT to have a stiff pedal, however, our 11" Monsters are designed TO have a stiff pedal. They check in at just over 3500 lbs of plate load and mixed with a Tick adjustable master have a pretty stiff pedal.

Stage 3+ is the way to go, though i don't think that it is excessively stiff. Of course I guess I get used to driving all kinds of assemblies for development...so I may be a bit biased. Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be more than happy to assist you!!
