Trans Am accents?
I'm confused on what color accents to get on the side door, and/or front bird and rear of my black Trans Am Ws6? I was thinking either dark red, white, or charcoal-gray metallic? What do you guys think? Any pics of these combos? Opinions are welcome! I really need your opinions, so please help me out! Thanks a lot!

Well its really up to you and what you like. Do you want a subtle look or more of a flashy look.
Ive actually switched mine a couple times. I started off with grey then went to red and now I'm with silver.
Red looked pretty good but I went a little overboard and thus ruined the color scheme so thats why I switched to silver. I have some pics and I'll try to post them when I get home.
Ive seen black car with yellow accents, red, blue, silver, orange, and pretty much all the colors. Thats a good thing about black. It looks good with any color.

I have silver for an accent right now. The pontiac in the rear bumper is silver, the doors and the front license plate. I got a complete "package" type deal from www.autografics.com I bought the 30th anniversary kit for the car. Side stripes and racing stripes and it came with the front license plate firebird,2 ram air decals the 2 trans am side decals, the rear pontiac in bumper, and pontiac headlight decals. I didn't use them all. Just a few to try them. I'm going to take off the trans am badge on the door completely and put on the side stripes and buy and orange underglo kit. I think its going to look sick on a black car. Anyways, silver is defintely a good accent color on black, it really stads out. So does yellow but I don't know if I could stand it for too long. 1 Bad Bird has all yellow acents , so do a search on him and you'll see his car. There a few people with red accents, I believe andy with another black 'bird on here has them. They all loook pretty good, it's really up to you.

Hey, 1 Bad Bird, you ought to pull out your side grilles and paint those yellow, to match the hood.
Personally, I have never been one for yellow trim, although I have seen it look really good on NBM cars. My NBM has silver trim, navy blue calipers, and decals all around (everythign except the front windshield and a hood bird and stripes).
For black you can go for red or yellow, which are popular and flashy, but I like silver. It looks clean, tasteful, and and will really add to the way your car looks.

How about Pewter metallic?? Or blue? I think either of those would look cool. I saw a black WS6 with the shade-shifting vinyl in Purple/Cyan and it looked pretty good. Purple would also be very nice but if you're not a gal I guess you would like it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Here's a couple pics I have of black with stripe colors I mentioned

Thanks Jesse and Stang Killer!
My brake duct grilles/gills were actually chrome plated with real chrome. They were subjected to a special process where they vere first coated in Zinc and then that Zinc coating was plated like any other metal piece. The work was done by Custom Coatings in Tallahasse FL, they are the only U.S. company that I know of that will do this for indiuvidual customers but they are slow, expensive, and their customer service is not so great. I recommend the vacum metalized ones that Afterthoughts Auto sells (Sponsor->) if you are looking for the chrome look, they might not be as durable but they would be much faster and at least 1/3 the price.
