The only complaint I have on the Harland Sharp's is that they're a bit heavier than some of the competitors such as the YellaTerra UltraLite's. But if you run a quality spring and set them up properly, pick lobes that aren't too crazy for what you've got, and keep some mass out of the valve-train where possible (titanium retainers for example) then you should be happy with the Harland Sharps!

My "ideal" valve train without getting too crazy (expensive) is stock or Z06 valves (don't like heavy stainless valves), stock locks and retainers (only 5g heavier than titanium), a good beehive, stock rockers with the comp cams trunnion upgrade, a chrome-moly pushrod, and a decent lobe like an EPS or XFI.

The only complaint I have about harland sharp is that it has proven itself to be a substandard product time and time again. I bought a set a bit back. Put them on set them right ran them for a bit and then i heard a funny noise. The retainer spring broke on one, mind you 600 miles on them. I went back to the vendor he said he couldn't do anything for me. I went straight to HS and they said that they would replace one or the set but since I didn't buy them from HS they were not going to refund my money. I still have them to remind me every time what a piece of work that company is.
Now my ideal set up is what I have it is close to PIB set up.
LS6 valves
Stock rockers w/ trunnion upgrade from comp
stock lock and retainers
a good double spring (comp 921what am running)
comp hardened PR
Stay away from aftermarket rockers with stock heads they do not need them and the stock rockers give you the best valve train geometry when it comes to rockers period on stock heads. The best valve train geometry is when the rocker arm tips moves from the intake side of the valve tip, across the center of the tip this happens at approximately mid-lift, to the exhaust side of the valve tip @ full lift and back.
Oh and before I forget HS rockers are not a direct fit on stock LS heads, you will have clearance issues with them. If you are still dead set on buying a st go with Yella Terra that's just me .02
