If you dont have race headers (with out EGR hook ups on them) you will have a hole right there in the exhaust

Update, I have time to look at the egr today, and I saw 2 place that I can put the block plate on ( like the pix show above ), where the third one to block off at ? BTW I can do all this without remove the intake right ? my friend told me yesterday have to remove the intake. Today I take out the egr without remove the intake, seem like I can block those 2 up without remove the intake. Need to know where the third place to put the plate at .

One last question, Block the EGR system help the engine run cleaner ? what the purpose of block the EGR system, beside egr valve cost 89 dollar hehe.

the 3rd plate goes on the passenger side exhaust manifold. there is a tube that runs from the intake (right hole in the picture) runs to the exhaust manifold.

some say you can do it with out removing the intake you would need a mirror to see what your doing but you can reach behind it.

good read on what the egr does http://autos.yahoo.com/maintain/repa...ques080_1.html

i read somewhere that its good to keep on becuase it controls your exhaust temperatures. i dont know where i read it. maybe shbox or madz28 but if its true i decided to put mine back on since i ditched the headers.

I use Ultra Black, but for the EGR parts it really doesn't matter at all.

no. if you look at the picture i posted you can see the line.
its right below the fuel pressure regulator and above the right cap you can see a line thats the one that needs to be caped off its kinda hard to see. but when you pull the egr its self the line will be connected to the egr. that line has to be caped

I just blocked mine off this weekend.. I thought it was going to be tougher than it was. It was a peice of cake. I did it with the intake on, you don't have to see it. You can feel the bolts.

When you take your EGR valve off follow the vacuum line attached to it and it'll run into your intake. Block that off with that cap.

I know someone (locally) that can make you a block-off plate with incorporated vacuum ports/nips to do a clean vacuum line relocation to the rear Makes for a cleaner engine bay/intake mani area. PM me if you are interested, being that he is not a sponsor.
