Canadian Members - rear calipers

Not sure if the v8 and v6 rear calipers are the same (I think they are for us and the LT1s) but, anyone know how the heck I get that parking brake thingy back on? More specifically the spring? (haynes sucks) I know how to attach the bracket to the caliper...no idea what the big spring is used for, or how exactly it goes back on...pictures might help me here... There is also this giant ball looking thing that is on the bracket as well...no idea what thats for either...looks like it might be a weight or something....

Those older style rear discs use a lever and pushrod (item #22 in pic) to push the pad against the rotor.

You kept one side together for reference, right?

no unfortunatly not...I bought all my new stuff in the states because it saved me a couple hundred $$, so I needed to bring the cores back...I tried to keep one bracket intact but it fell apart on me...

I can't quiet see in that pdf how the spring attaches itself back there...I know how the bracket as a whole gets put onto the caliper though...only thing stumping me is the big spring...
