Default What model Optima Yellow Top for our cars??

For those with yellow top Optimas, which particular model are you using? I went to Sears yesterday to look at them and the only model they had in yellow top was 34/78. Will this fit in our cars? I looked in the book, and there is not a yellow top listed for our vehicles, so I assume there is not a perfect fit one, but want to make sure this one will fit before I drop $170 onone. Thanks.

Costco sells them for a lot cheaper. I am currently running a red one. I am almost positive you need the D850U top/side post 8014-045.

Get the Yellow Top. It's an all around better battery. Especially if the car sits for longer periods of time without being fired up.

Yes, want a yellow top, but Costco doesn't sell them, atleast not here in Alaska. They do have the Red Top, but Sears seems ot be the only place around here for the yellow. Plus, I have a $100 gift card I need to use so guess I can put that towards the battery instead of more tools.

Do you have an Autozone, PepBoys, or Advance Auto Parts, they all carry the Yellow Top an can get them if you need it.

If you dont have a rather high wattage system IE over 1000 watts I would recommend the Red top. Because its a standard type battery while the Yellow top is a deep cycle battery and in my experience with both these batteries the Red tops out lasted the Yellow tops on systems below a 1000 watts. Reason being its a deep cycle battery and wasnt drained enough causing it to shorten its life. How ever I have seen that with cars with over 1000 watt systems the Yellow tops would outlast the Red tops because of the deep cycle design.
