Default L92 Starter on a T-56?

(I posted this in the automatic section to no avail)

I have a L92 from a 2007 Escalade and the starter came with the engine.
I am mating it to a 2000 Camaro T-56.

My question is: Does the starter work on this trans?

Do the 2007 L92 6L80 flywheels have a different amount of teeth as the 4th gen F-bodies flywheels?

I was going to install the trans this weekend.
Looks like I've found my answer.
So I need an F-body starter?

No.
I put the trans and engine together and the L92 starter fit perfectly. It slid inside the bellhousing just fine and appears to be aligned just fine.

I'll try and post pics and get your thoughts.

Excellent.

I knew The F-body bell & starter can't be mixed with GTO bell & starter. I wasn't sure about differences on the truck one. Good thing to know.

Hey.....who thought putting an L92 into an RX-7 would yield new info into the LSX community?!

Since it fits....do you think I need to worry about any other spacing? The teeth should all line up correct, right?

Yep. Same ring gear teeth across the board on LS motors.

Great...So the ONLY Issue is the Housing fitment with the size of the starter.

OK WORLD: L92 Starters work with T-56 F-Body transmissions!
