Default stress cracks, PLEASE HELP!

i have just discovered spider stress cracks on the front bumper of my 2000 trans am ws6. im pretty outraged and i need help how to fix this . i was told it is only the paint that is cracked and not the actual bumped. i was thinking about going to maaco and having them repaint my bumper only because the rest of my paint is in amazing shape, but i heard some unappealing stories about maaco. i live in central new jersey and dont have much money. what do you guys think about that? what are some good places that will only repaint the bumper? and how much would it run about for a sand, prime, and a couple coats of paint? help is very much appreciate!!!!!!

I'd let one of the parking lot bumper paint guys do my bumper before Maaco unless Maaco was doing basecoat/clearcoat which some of them do. Don't let them talk you into the "integrated clearcoat" either.. it's horseshit.

The parking lot tent guys charge like 100-150 to do a bumper, expect to pay double that at a real body shop in a booth.

You should be able to find a good body shop that takes pride in their work to repair the stress cracks and repaint the bumper for 300-350 using quality products.

Just don't be climbing on it when you work on it and the repairs should be good for the distance.

Its a pretty common problem, happened to me on my TA. First of all, maaco is not going to fix your problem. Find a quality body shop, should run you around 300 for a good job.
