Bugatti SS Top Speed Video (http://boostmd.blogspot.com/2010/07/bugatti-veyron-super-sport-top-gear-ss.html)

Bugatti Veyron SS...

$30,000 for a SINGLE set of tires.

1200 hp.

Weighs 650 lb less than a 'standard' Veyron.

Guess how fast it went? The 'old' one went 253 mph...

Insane...Keep in mind that's with factory -let's keep this thing together- tuning.
There's no doubt in my mind that they have tons of power left in that set up.
They probably just increased the boost by x-amount of psi and said "...ok! now onto the aero!"
But much like everyone else I'd like to see some 'money bags mcgee' mod the hell out of one just for fun. :D

This will probably be the highest top speed we'll ever see from a production car. I doubt this record will ever be broken.

Where did it say it weighted 650lbs less than the regular Veyron? The video said it weighed 50kgs less...

I keep thinkin the same as him that the diesel trucks HAVE to be done making more power fromt he factory. And then a year later they go bigger. Its fuckin amazing. I think they make 750 tq now. I know people have been doin it aftermarket for a while but this is fromt he factory with a warrenty.

Fucking ponderous.

Handmade is over-rated. I also can't help but laugh at tires that are tested for use in airplanes, a vehicle that flies through the air and uses their tires very little.

The Ferrari FXX isn't a road car, it's a rental car for the track.

No it is not, for one it made its time with slicks (which top gear automatically voids) and it has never been driven on the road "legally" it is not road certified and even if you buy one ferrari keeps it themselves and invites you once in a while to an FXX exclusive trackday.

I think its funny he wore a fire suit and a helmet like theyll help at 250mph lol.

I agree though, ugliest supercar ive seen.

I disagree with some on here.....

I think this is the best looking supercar hands down. Freaking awesome! This is truly a work of art. When looking at price vs. functionality vs. looks.....this is the best out there.

What would you rather have an authentic Van Gogh or a $5 poster? Handmade is over-rated for most simpletons. Airplanes may not use their tires very much but they need to be able to handle extreme loads for the short period they are used. The Veyron being able to hit 250+ mph in a 4,000+ lb vehicle needs tires to be able to handle exteme loads.

We aren't talking about fine art, we're talking about a piece of precision machinery. A machine can build a car better, faster and cheaper than a human being on a large scale.

Aircraft tires do need to be able to handle extreme conditions for short amounts of time. However, an aircraft's tires are built specifically for aircraft. It would have made more sense if they had looked to racing vehicles to base their tires off of.

BAMF rite there. The bitch part of the whole thing would be the drive home though. I would be so bored doing the speed limit knowing i just went 260+mph.

Bugatti's are not built on a large scale, buyers of fine vehicles and fine art typically like the human component in their creations. No other production car has done what this car has and at this weight, so like the Veyron in general, all its parts are "over engineered".

Yeah, I understand that people like the "human" component of creations. I'm just saying that the "human" component of machinery is over-rated, especially when it commands such a premium.

considering that it costs VW 4.6 million dolalrs to produce jsut 1 veyron, and all the engineering that has gone into it (this car will outlast amny of its owners im willing to bet) its a great bargain for the $$ which is 1.8million euros by the way.. thats about 2.2 millionish USD
