Default trouble with slp lm1 advice needed

I have a lm1 on my 99 ss and heard it rattle yesterday got underneath and found that where it y's over the axle its resting on the bar that runs from top of drivers side to pass. Side of axle any on know why or had this problem gonna take it off next weekend and redo just looking for advice its like too short ill try to get pic thanks guys

so it is hitting your panhard bar? It is a 3" catback you should not be having that problem unless it was installed wrong. Try to get some pictures.

Is it welded or bolted together? If it is bolted i would play around with your exhaust and see where that gets you.

We had the same problem with the Magnaflow Catback on a friend's 98 Z28. The Over-Axle Pipe was resting, ever-so-slightly, on the Panhard Bar causing a rattle.

We loosened the clamp at the Y-pipe to Catback connection and slid the entire Catback towards the rear of the car. This gained us some clearance between the Pipe and the Panhard, not a substantial amount, but enough to alleviate the rattle. Then we retightened the clamp.

I haven't seen Dave's Camaro for a while, but he hasn't mention the rattle coming back, so I'm pretty sure this solved the problem.

almost always have to adjust the exhaust so it doesnt hit thats why they are aftermarket

have a shop make custom hangers for it. takes them 5 min per hanger and might cost you 20-30 bux. my guy will do it for a six pack lol.

is that supposed to show the pipe resting on the upper PHB?

again i would say your solution would be to have new rear hangers made.
