Default my motor sounds like a sewing machine ...normal for an LS ?

my engine is a 03 6.0 lq4 w/ texas speed 2.5 ls6 heads (cut .010 ) and there
T3 cam , LS7 lifters , 7.4 pushrods

the top end of my motor sounds like a sewing machine , very noisey is this normal after a head and cam change ?

car runs mint , makes good power , oil psi is good ( 45-50psi on the highway/ 30-35 idle ) ran 10.91 @ 125 friday night

pushrods too short maybe ?

ive got a torquer 3 and i do have a good bit of valvetrain noise too, these cars just seem to be noisy after a cam install. You can play around with different oil weights to see if anything thicker helps, but unless you have a wrong sized pushrod, everything is normal

Did you measure for your pushrod length?

LSK on the intake, and XER on the exhaust. The fast ramp rate of the LSK will make some noise! Just to be safe though you should always measeure your preload. One of our sponsors has the comp cams adjustable pushrod tool for $15, cheap asurance.
