Default %$%#&&*% aftermarket fan...new setup track results.

Well i finally got off my but and finished up the car, tuned and to the track. On the first pass I was just shakin the rust off since it had been a while since i shifted and launched this thing. So a really easy launch at 6000 bairly touching the 2 step(I usually flat foot it and get on the 2 step hard.). It got back on the tires, lifted the front, then bogged, I shorted shifted(and granny shifted) by about 1000 rpms in each gear, it was pulling alittle towards the center line and I missed 4th..went ahead and shut the run down. Noticed my temp was climbing so i eased it back to the pits. Turns out my fan wasn't kicking on, tested everything and it was a no go. so with 100 deg. air temps and no telling how hot coming off the track we called it a day. Im just gonna put my stock setup with one fan removed back on it. Been doing that for years and had no issues. Only good thing is even with the lazy run it went 6.9 in the 8th @ 99.88 on a very bad 1.54 60'. the 60' alone was off by .14 from my last time out. That 6.95 is only .3 off my best ever that was a 6.66 on my 10.38 run. That was in much better air and a ***** out run. I'm pretty sure I culd have match that last night if not bested it..only time will tell tho. I'm thinking i have my goal just have to drive this dang thing..ha. Anyway, putting in my old setup and maybe back to track wed. maybe.

Coasted to a 12.07 @ 81..lol

Car is moving!! What kind of power did you put down? Can't wait to get my turd to the dyno and back on the track. I need some motivation. I may take a trip to the track for a little pick me up.
